Nowadays we rely more and more on our phones. Apps became essential to our day to day living. The latest psychology conferences and conventions have seen growing interest in finding ways of reaching people struggling with managing emotions through their mobile phones. Many applications are available that can be easily installed on your phone and might help you manage unpleasant feelings. I will list below some of the best-known apps available for you to download. Stop, Breath & Think Kids - Meditation and mindfulness made easy and fun for kids to discover and develop their superpowers of sleep, be calm, learn to breathe, or resolve conflicts. Age 4+

SilverCloud Toolkit - Wellbeing, life balance, time management, communication skills, goal setting, communication and relationship management, anger management, stress management, relaxation and sleep management, among many others. Age 17+

Reasons2 - a free app designed by Young People and Washington Mind to help improve mental health

Wellness Recovery Action Plan - a self-designed prevention and wellness process that anyone can use to get well, stay well and make their life the way they want it to be. Suitable for anyone, anywhere. Age 4+

Happier You - Community - Happier you uses scientifically proven behavioural support (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques to help you when you feel anxious, stressed or may need help with depression. Age 12+

Daylio Journal - Self-Care Bullet Journal with Goals Mood Diary & Happiness Tracker. Age 4+

MHRG: Mental Health Recovery Guide - If you suffer from depression, schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, and if you are a mental health outpatient or a newly discharged psychiatric in-patient at the UK’s NHS or elsewhere in the world, MHRG will help you. 

Calm Harm - provides tasks to help you resist or manage the urge to self-harm. Age 12+
